ESC Preps for Pandemic
Greetings Church Family,
Eastern Star Church continues to closely monitor the status of the coronavirus (COVID-19), following Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines and local health officials as it relates to Central Indiana. This includes the deep cleaning and sanitizing of common areas at each campus.
We are currently preparing for different scenarios that may come in the future.
The situation is evolving quickly, so we may begin to hear about other Hoosiers who have been impacted. During this time, we ask that you continue to pray. Pray for the individuals who have fallen ill. Pray for those in the medical field, public health officials, and all others who may encounter or be affected by COVID-19.
CDC and the World Health Organization (WHO) have provided some preventative measures you can take as well.
Wash hands frequently with soap and water for 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
Cover coughs and sneezes with tissues or by coughing into the inside of the elbow. Throw used tissues away in the trash.
Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands.
Stay away from people who are sick or not feeling well and avoid close contact with others through hugging, kissing or shaking hands.
Disinfect frequently touched surfaces and objects such as toys and doorknobs.
Seek assistance from a health professional if you see or experience symptoms that cause concern.
Stay home if you have a fever or flu-like symptoms. Remain home until “fever free” for 24 hours. Fever free is considered having a temperature of less than 100° without medication for 24 hours. We know getting your workouts in are important, but it can wait.
If you must stay home, remember that because of your generosity, Pastor Johnson can be heard via Lifestream TV during Sunday morning worship at each campus. You also can hear previous inspirational sermons via YouTube, Spotify and iTunes.
God is in control! (2 Timothy 1:7)
