Pastor Johnson Talks COVID-19

A Special Message from Senior Pastor Jeffrey A. Johnson, Sr.

Blessings Eastern Star Church Family,

For several weeks, Eastern Star Church has closely monitored the status of coronavirus (COVID-19), following CDC guidelines and local health officials as it relates to Central Indiana. This includes enhanced cleaning and sanitizing at each campus. ESC has created a COVID-19 Task Force and meets daily. We are currently preparing for different scenarios that may come in the future.
 
Due to the dynamic nature of the virus, we may begin to hear about other Hoosiers who have been impacted. During this time, we ask that you continue to pray. Pray for the individuals who have fallen ill. Pray for those in the healthcare industry, public health officials, our CARE Center and ROCK Fresh Market employees and volunteers who interact with the public and all others who may be affected by COVID-19.
 
IMPORTANT UPDATES

  • Amidst the local and national outbreak of COVID-19, the Every Child Symposium, Prom Genie, and Reentry Fair have been cancelled. 

  • At this time, Sunday worship services and Sunday classes at all campuses will continue as normally scheduled. 

  • All other ministry meetings & activities have been suspended through the end of April except Sunday classes and Sunday service to minimize the risk of COVID-19 exposure.

  • The only activity for Wednesday is noonday bible study and out of continued compassion and love, we will not meet in person, but rather we will Live Stream only through our website and Facebook Live.

  • The church office is still open.

  • The CARE Center is still open. Due to your generosity, we have not stopped helping people. If you are not able to drop off food donations, please help us meet their needs by donating online through our website, app or text to give.

  • Remember we have our fast devotional online and we encourage you to study the word of God and pray every day.  We will continue to monitor new developments and provide updates as needed.
