The IGNITE Children’s Ministry ministers to amazing students every week through our programming! This month, we would like to introduce you to some of them!
Hello! My name is Kourtlyn Banks.
I am in the third grade. I like to talk to my friends and play tag. I am getting high reading scores and making new friends. My mommy is proud that I completed my first season of basketball and had a lot of personal growth. My favorite scripture is from Matthew 21: 12- 17.
Hello! My name is Gregory Edmonds.
I am in the sixth grade. I like to draw, watch YouTube videos, and play with Rubik cubes and puzzles. I like entrepreneurship. Recently, I participated in Junior Achievement’s BizTown where I was named CEO for SHARP. I also help my mom with her business, Jewel’s Wellness Center. Running a business is hard work but fun. I am also an active participant in the Eli Lilly Minority Engineering Program of Indianapolis. My favorite activity has been the electrical engineering session because I learned about circuits and batteries and how they work. My favorite scripture is James 1:19-20 ESV “Let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger; for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God.”
Hello! May name is Avery Hill.
I am eight years old and in the 3rd grade. I really like gymnastics, playing outside with my friends, and running. I plan to join the track team this spring.
I have been in gymnastics since I was three years old, but this year is the first year that I competed. I received ten medals this year within three competitive meets. My best medal was second place in vault. State competition is coming up. I am so excited. Next season, I want to learn how do flips across the floor. My favorite scripture is Philippians 4:4, Rejoice in the Lord always, and again I say rejoice. Two years ago, I danced to Philippians 4:4-7 for my dance recital.
