A message from our Pastor
Hello, friends and family. My name is Jeffrey A. Johnson, II, and I am the Lead Pastor of Eastern Star Church in Indianapolis and Fishers, Indiana. Have you stopped to think about how much God loves you? When He created you, He already had in mind a plan for your life. God’s Son, Jesus, came to give us abundantly life, allowing us to live fully here and now and have the assurance of forever with Him.
Unfortunately, too many of us don’t experience that abundant life of love, joy, peace, and forgiveness that God wants for us because we all have sinned. We were born in sin, separated from God, deserving to die unless we admit our sins and ask God for His forgiveness. He is willing; He’s just waiting for us to ask Him. God loves us, so much so that He sent His own Son to die in our place. When Jesus died on the cross, He took all our sins and failures upon Himself so that, in exchange, God could give us the abundant life that He wants us to have.
Jesus was taken from the cross and buried in a tomb. But God raised Him up from the dead, and we can get to know Him personally. It is so simple. Just say out loud, “Jesus is Lord, I believe He died for my sins”, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and know that you are saved. Based on your belief and confession, your sins will be forgiven and you will receive the gift of eternal life.
This is my personal invitation for you to come to Eastern Star Church on Sunday, April 13th for a special worship service. There will be others like you who have been kind enough to accept our invitation. We will share God’s Word about the wonderful plans He has for your life. We as a church have been praying that you will say “yes” to Jesus’ special invitation on that day. We want to welcome you into the family of Christ.
Of course, you don’t have to wait until April 20th to begin your new life in Christ. Right now, if you believe in your heart that Jesus died for your sins and that He was raised from the dead for your salvation, you can be saved. You can email us at membership@easternstarchurch.org, and we will walk you through the steps of salvation. We are praying that you don’t wait, but that you do it today. Won’t you say “yes” to Jesus?
