Why should I complete New Member classes?
New Member Orientation helps new members to get acquainted with their new church family. This class is designed to provide new members with information about ESC and how to get involved. Members must complete New Member Orientation Class to be involved in ministry.
How do I start?
All new members must first join the church by walking down front at invitation time during worship service and complete the New Member Enrollment form. Then, register to attend the next class offering. Please bring a Bible and pen. Your teacher will provide you with other class materials.
What about children and teen new members?
Children (Elementary School age) need only to attend Sunday School and Children’s Church on a regular basis. Teens (Middle & High School age) need only to attend Sunday School and Middle School/High School Ministry. Currently, children & teens do not need to complete New Member Orientation but are welcome to participate and receive the class credit.
Is childcare provided at new member classes?
Childcare is not provided during New Member Orientation class.
What should I do while I am waiting for the next New Member Orientation Class? Attend Sunday School so that you can begin to learn and develop relationships with your church family. For class locations, please see our Sunday School webpage or talk with an usher.
