Baptism - What Do I Need?

How do I sign up?

No advance sign-up is needed for Baptism. After accepting Jesus Christ, simply plan to attend the next scheduled baptism. Check in one hour before the scheduled baptism time. For example, if Baptismal service begins @ 5pm, candidates for baptism must arrive @ 4pm to prepare for baptism.

When candidates for baptism arrive, they must sign-in at the Usher Station. Someone from the baptismal team will escort them to the baptismal room to prepare for baptism.

Who is a candidate for Baptism?

Any member of Eastern Star Church age 5 to Adult who has never been water baptized (fully submerged) is eligible for baptism.  Infants and Children age 4 years and younger are eligible for Baby Dedication.  Baby Dedications happen every 4th Sunday @ the 12:15 service on 30th Street campus.  Call the church office to sign up @ 591-5050.

What do I need to bring?

Men & Boys:  Solid White T-Shirt, white full underwear (no bikini) and white socks.  A pair of white pants will be provided.  Also bring a dry set of undergarments.

Women & Girls:  Solid White undergarments i.e. undershirt or bra, full underwear-no bikini, thongs, etc, full-slip, white socks, and a white shower cap (optional).  A white shirt & skirt will be provided.  Also bring a dry set of undergarments.

Pictures & Certificates                                                     

The church will provide a photo of you being baptized and give you a baptismal certificate. These items will be available for pick up after the service.  If these items are not picked up, please contact the church office 317 591-5050.
