Welcome to Eastern Star Church Children & Youth Ministries, where our goal is to develop students spiritually, socially and educationally into committed followers of Christ. We offer a wide range of programs and activities that parents can confidently partner with to help raise up strong Christian students for the Lord!
Discipleship

Youth Sunday school helps to engage youth of all ages in learning the essential doctrines, stories, principles and books of the Bible that moves them further toward spiritual maturity. Classes are available at all campuses, 8:00A at Fishers, 9:30A at Northwest and 11:00A at the Main. These classes run simultaneously with the Adult classes so that the whole family can participate. There are no requirements to attend. Just show up!

This ministry meets weekly at all campuses. Tuesdays we are at Northwest, Wednesdays at Main, and Thursdays at Fishers. Service begins at 6:00 p.m. Students do not have to be members to attend. Just show up! Through this ministry students will engage in weekly interactive Bible studies, community service and social events (lock-ins, game nights etc.). Students in this ministry also have an opportunity to participate in student leadership by working in Children’s Church or Nursery, and helping to plan and lead weekly fellowships, events and activities.

Children’s Church services are held at each location during the adult service, 9:15 a.m. at Fishers, 10:45 a.m. at Northwest, and 12:15 at Main. Children are grouped together for the first hour where they engage in similar activities as the adult service (praise and worship, giving, prayer, Bible lesson) as well as games, story-telling and object lessons. They are then split up into smaller groups for 20 to 25 minutes to reinforce the lesson on the level of the child, extend an invitation to discipleship and dismissal.

Vacation Bible School is offered yearly in the month of June to provide solid, Bible-based teaching, delivered in a fun and casual environment. The aim is to equip children, youth and adults with the tools necessary to defend the faith and grow and mature as disciples of Jesus Christ. This ministry is something the whole family can enjoy since there are classes for all ages!

The Youth Basketball ministry runs from January through April for both boys and girls. Registration is held in November each year. Ages are broken down into 4 divisions: Juniors for 5-7 year olds, NCAA for 7-9 year olds, CBA for 10-13 year olds and NBA for 14-17 year olds. Practices are typically held on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings and games are typically played on Fridays and Saturdays. The season ends with a tournament in each division except for the Junior division.
We also have a special Girls ONLY Youth basketball ministry which runs from March through June. Ages are 10-14 year olds. The Summer Enrichment Camp runs from May through August for ages 5-12 year olds. The summer camp is faith based and consists of museum visits, Indiana landmarks, sports, field trips, science, math, computers, and arts and crafts.

Girl Scouts have an open enrollment usually in August and runs for 10 months ending in June. Young girls learn etiquette, build character, serve, take field trips and fundraise. Girl Scouts typically meets on 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month at the main campus from 6p – 8p.

This ministry meets on Thursdays after the second Sunday of the month at the main Campus Student Ushers walk through demonstrations from 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. In this ministry students will serve one Sunday a month at a particular location and perform all the same duties of an Adult Usher.

The JEWEL Childcare/Preschool and Kindergarten (JCPK) ministry cares for children (infants through Kindergarten), Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Our program admits children of any race, color and national or ethnic origin. This ministry is designed to give graduating seniors heading off to college additional financial resources to help them make that transition smoother. Applications are made available on the last Sunday in April and must be postmarked by June 30th. Decisions are made in July and awards are given out on the 1st Sunday in August. A few key points that will help your son or daughter qualify are as follows: Check membership status, meet the deadline, carefully review each document before sending, and keep your GPA up.
